What’s up in October in Miami? I know it corresponds to the sad time when Miami Spice is over but there will be tapas everyday in Bayfront Park and we are sharing plenty of updates with you!
Surfside preconstructions - Oceana Bal HarbourRanging from $1.8M to $30M, Oceana Bal Harbour aims at making its mark among the ultra-luxury condominiums of Miami. Nothing less to expect than 5-star amenities and beach living at 10201 Collins Avenue.
Oceana Bal Harbour is the second development of Consultatio in South Florida. The 2 28-story linked towers of the Oceana rise majestically over the ocean and its 5.53-acre site, among which 400 linear feet of prime oceanfront and is situated on famed Collins Avenue just opposite the Bal Harbour Marina.
As compared to the following projects, Oceana Bal Harbour appeared a bit pricey to me, but it is definitely done with great taste in terms of interior design - by Piero Lissoni - and contemporary art additions. European buyers would love it! Indeed, art is at the heart of Oceana Bal Harbour. Even Jeff Koons pieces are included in the landscape! Residences at Oceana Bal Harbour on lower floors take in ocean vistas while the flow-through design of units on the upper floors allow for views in both directions. The top floors are devoted to expansive penthouse residences.

- The SurfClub
Ranging to $3M to $35M, the 150 posh units of the 12-story iconic historic buildings are the epitome of class thanks to high-end finishes. Located on 9011 Collins Avenue, it is a true landmark that developers have decided to upgrade and embellish, yet respecting the historical background of the structure.
Since its creation as a private social club in 1930, The Surf Club has played an important role in the cultural history of Miami Beach. It is set on 8 acres of pristine Atlantic oceanfront by the beach. Award-winning architect Richard Meier just re-designed The Surf Club for the better: residences will range from 1 to 5 bedrooms of respectively 1,200 sqft to 8,000 sqft, along with 5 2-story and 8 signature penthouses. There will be approximately 50 different configurations for the units.
With 50 different floor plans' configurations, but always that matte white marble imprint, that makes you a lot of options to invest in, at The Surf Club.

- Fendi Chateau
Fendi Chateau is the marriage of Arquitectonica, Chateau Group and Fendi Casa. Together, they are basically responsible for the creation of South Florida's most prestigious communities. With the addition of Fendi Casa for interior design, they are delivering unique residences showing refinement and Italian luxury. It is definitely a pervasive lifestyle project halfway between tradition and innovation, providing state-of-the-art equipment such as Gaggenau appliances with a European touch and attention to detail.
It is Fendi's first-ever luxury condominium and you still get a chance to own a penthouse there! The oceanfront complex boasts more than just an incredible view, the amenities include the usual top-notch pools, fitness centers, cinemas and much more but also a private restaurant with a full chef's kitchen and a relaxation terrace with aromatherapy.
What about investing in a 7,500 sqft penthouse for $25M knowing that it comes with some additional 2,000 sqft of terraces with a rooftop pool offering panoramic views over both city and ocean? If you do not need those 5 bedrooms and 7 1/2 bathrooms, remember that units start at $8M!

Restaurant Marion Miami
This Mediterranean restaurant named after a French lady just opened to take part in Miami Spice before it was over! It includes an oyster bar, a bakery and a grand café right by Mary Brickell Village. It is located on 1111 SW 1st Avenue which is perfect to become a new meeting place for the neighborhood. Foodies will have the possibility to either shop or dine locally sourced and crafted cuisine. Not to mention that all ingredients are fresh.
Marion also provides event space with a total dining capacity of 300 people. Think about it if you want to organize a nice gathering in Miami: you could use the terrace with bar, the inside bar, the raw bar, the dining room (main or private) or the Chef’s table. Marion has a total dining capacity for up to 300 people. The restaurant offers 6 unique spaces: The Terrace with Bar, Main Dining Room, Inside Bar, The Private Dining Room, Chef’s Table and Raw Bar. The hospitality company managing Marion is the one owning the success of Bâoli Miami… That sounds promising!
Dishes have been drafted by French chef Jean Paul Lourdes, on the basis of Mediterranean fare and fine ingredients. The ambiance feels like a traditional European market for epicureans. For a true Mediterranean experience, you could order the Paella de Fideos, with glazed haricots verts and grilled eggplants on the side. Even the hand cut frites come with rosemary for a taste of South of France!

Historic Madrid food market in Bay Front Park
Here is a new “pop-up” operation about to happen in Miami’s Bayfront Park on Biscayne Blvd: a historic food market in Madrid will settle there from the beginning of October to the end of January. It is called La Feria del Mercado de San Miguel. It corresponds to the traveling spinoff of Madrid’s centenarian market. The organizers intend to recreate the atmosphere of the actual Mercado de San Miguel with a mixed of interior spaces and outdoor areas.
Be ready for that 9,000 sqft open-air market to enjoy tapas and Spanish delicacies! You could find gazpachos, montaditos, acorn-fed hams, squid-ink paellas and other imported food in the several little kiosks spread throughout the market.
It is a first in the U.S. for La Feria: Miami seemed to be the obvious destination choice for its Latin-American cross culture. Some local Miami producers will take part in La Feria too to bring a bit of Miamian sense of place.
Admission is free and tapas range from $2 to $8 for a larger paella. It’s on all day and all week long! I’ll go for sure!
